Head architect for the project, Michael Suomi of Stonehill & Taylor, said his firm previously designed a hotel in Portland, Maine, called “The Press Hotel.” That hotel is located in a historic newspaper tower in downtown Portland that the paper had vacated. His firm is also designing a TWA-themed hotel at the site of the former TWA terminal at JFK Airport in New York.
