Located in the heart of SoHo, The Crosby Street Hotel is the first hotel outside of London for the premier luxury London hotelier, Firmdale Hotels. Stonehill Taylor was on board from the beginning, having introduced the development team to the parking lot site, and built the 85,000 SF, 11-story property from the ground up.
Set 15 feet back from other buildings on the block, a steel and glass canopy emulates traditional loading docks, and a small plaza in granite with bands of black and white pebbles creates a unique arrival experience. Firmdale’s signature 12-by-10 steel and glass Crittall windows define each of the guestroom sand spacious suites. Designed as the quintessential SoHo loft, the hotel contains signature features of the hotelier, including five and six fixture baths, the graciously proportioned 86 guest rooms, a 99-seatscreening room, meeting rooms, a guest library, drawing rooms, restaurant and bar, and a rooftop garden. Committed to sustainability, the hotel earned LEED Gold Certification, and was the first hotel in New York State to achieve this designation.
