The Ned NoMad

New York, NY

The Ned NoMad, the first Ned to open in North America, is a unique interaction of the London-born club blended with an Art Deco style and old Manhattan glamour. Located in the 1903 Johnston Building, which Stonehill Taylor previously converted to the famed Nomad Hotel in 2012, the team utilized original architectural features and details as decorative elements that inform the interior design. Maintaining references to the Beaux-Arts style, the hotel’s public areas are filled with rich wood and fabric materials, elegant glasswork, and vintage furniture pieces, largely sourced from Hudson, New York. The Little Ned bar and the intimate Magic Room event space play off a 1920s Art Deco design with the addition of vibrant colors and contemporary case goods and upholstery. The final member’s area, the Ned’s Club Upstairs, includes a roof top lounge and outdoor terrace inspired by the colors of the New York City sunset. An exclusive private dining space in the Cupola stands as a beacon for the neighborhood. Situated on the first floor is Manhattan’s first Cecconi’s restaurant featuring the signature Cecconi-style stripe and the Ned’s rich color palette and wood detailing. The original Nomad Hotel Elephant Bar can also be found on the ground floor.
