Paloma

Greenville, SC

For Paloma, the three-meal restaurant and bar at the AC Greenville, Stonehill Taylor was inspired by the site’s former history as home to the Greenville Press in addition to the neighboring Peace Center, a local performing arts venue. The bar is awash in warm hues, copper tones, and mixed metals. Around the bar is a decorative drape of metal mesh material that brings a sense of human scale to the space, which boasts 19-foot-tall ceilings, and lends a theatrical flair as well. Glass shelving that forms the back bar is inspired by the windows of local warehouses. Underfoot, the wood flooring nods to print house flooring, and, overhead, blue acoustical panels channel an ink-inspired aesthetic.
