The Graduate Princeton

Princeton, NJ

A new Graduate Hotel has opened in historic downtown Princeton, adjacent to the University. Stonehill Taylor restored a 1926, five-story beloved landmark and constructed a new-build addition to the original building, connected by a bridge which allows for a continuous flow between the old and the new buildings. The historic building was painstakingly restored, including replacing the original single-pane windows with double-glazed, thermally broken aluminum windows that replicate the original design and minimize heat loss. Neighborhood-friendly retail on the ground floor and a full program of guestrooms, lobby space, food & beverage spaces, meeting rooms, and parking fit gracefully into the fabric of the small town’s historic main street. The architectural design integrates contemporary amenities with the timeless charm of the existing architecture, catering to the evolving tastes of guests while honoring the historically significant surroundings.
