Andaz Wall Street

New York, NY

Interior Design

Stonehill Taylor completed the interior design renovation of the Andaz Wall Street’s 253 guest rooms. Starting at 345-square-feet in size, these guest rooms are among the most spacious in New York City. Each room offers modern design, hardwood floors, walk-in rain showers and 12-foot ceilings with oversized windows to let in ample amounts of light.

The project’s design was inspired by downtown Manhattan, particularly the hotel’s location on Wall Street, but with a creative twist – the designers contemplated what an artist loft and studio might look like for a Wall Street Executive turned artist. The design channels this creative dynamism, which is quintessential New York. Stonehill Taylor’s interior design team took great care to insert personal touches into the guestroom design, incorporating handcrafted wall coverings, art pieces, and distinct furniture and lighting.

Within each guestroom, the space’s signature moment is a hand-sketched wall covering and line work that reflects downtown Manhattan’s evocative and rich architectural forms. Stonehill Taylor’s interior design team sketched these in-house, adding a personal touch to the design that seems to come almost from the hands of the creatives who live and work in the neighborhood.

Each room features veined quartz, end-grain bamboo, and grey wood finishes, plus elegant bay window seating for reading and relaxation.
