The Moxy Downtown is set to debut this September in the Financial District of Manhattan, joining the flagship hotel in Times Square. The 30-story new-build will reflect the neighborhood with a contemporary design.
A 22-foot-tall atrium lobby will punctuate the arrival experience with a 250-square-foot LED wall that serves as a virtual window into the play space on the third floor of the 298-key hotel. The expansive, 5,000-square-foot communal coworking space and cocktail bar will be appointed with vintage arcade games as well as a half-court basketball court.
Efficient rooms, part of the brand’s ethos, will boast upgraded finishes and details, including mood lighting and custom bath fixtures. Leather headboards and reclaimed wood panels will also be installed alongside a suspended guest chair equipped to support up to 1,000 pounds of weight. A space-saving foldout desk and chair will anchor each room in addition to hanging hooks and magazine racks.
