Paramount Hotel

New York, NY

Architecture

As Executive Architect, Stonehill Taylor worked with a variety of teams to revive the historic Paramount Hotel with a renovation of the public spaces, restaurant, and facade. The new lobby’s grand space was  refocused to facilitate a diversity of interactions with a mixed arrangement of seating areas and comfortable zones.

To strengthen the landmark’s exterior presence, the designers drew inspiration from the property’s original architect, Thomas Lamb. Ornate marquees that were once the key exterior features are brought back with a fresh take, standing in contrast to the clean and minimal look of most of the storefront.
