Rockefeller University Information Technology Building

New York, NY

Architecture

Stonehill Taylor designed a new, 10,000 square foot, insulated stress membrane structure to house the IT Department at Rockefeller University. This structure was taken from initial design concept to completion in 14 months on an expedited schedule. The interior of the structure, which includes ground floor and mezzanine levels, features mechanical systems as design elements. Intense red sprinkler pipes and brightly colored acoustic baffling accent the space, while departments are designated by color.
