Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences

Boston, MA

The mixed-use Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel &Residences is the first Raffles property in North America. The33-story, $400 million+ project includes an exciting combination of signature hotel services, including elegant and lively public spaces, distinct food and beverage venues, a two-story sky lobby perched high above Copley Square, a stunning rooftop garden terrace and lounge, and expansive meeting and pre-function spaces. The 147 guestrooms, encompassing 29 suites and a presidential “Midnight” suite represent an overarching eclecticism found throughout the Raffles hotel brand.

Channeling a city that reflects the new while respecting the old, Stonehill Taylor’s interior design approach blends seamlessly with the Back Bay neighborhood. While the décor features materials and patterns reminiscent of Boston’s iconic history, and in particular architecture, an emphasis on art and sculptural design throughout the property achieves a revolutionary yet timeless feel.

One of the property highlights is the grand spiral staircase that ascends the three floors of the Sky Lobby through an atrium of iron and glass windows. Another standout is the speakeasy, inspired by Boston’s Emerald Necklace, that radiates a botanical appeal with custom floral wallcoverings, forty-foot-tall oak wood columns and deep green details.
