Interior Design

Stonehill Taylor provided architecture and interior design services for the $50-million renovation of the 532-room Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, which included all guestrooms, public areas, three new event spaces, and new high-end suites. Using the concept “Made In America,” the design was committed to sustainability and featured locally-sourced materials drawing inspiration from the historic industries of the area, including lumber, flour, and wool milling. Local sourcing and the utilization of just-in-time delivery offered financial cost savings, a tighter project schedule, and a reduced impact on the environment. With this renovation, the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis has become the largest hotel in America designed with locally produced materials.
