Hyatt Regency Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN

The Hyatt Regency Minneapolis underwent a $50-million renovation of the existing public areas and 533 guest rooms as well as the addition of 112 guestrooms including 56 high-end suites and three new event spaces, totaling 100,000 SF. Using the concept “Made In America,” the design was committed to sustainability and featured locally-sourced materials drawing inspiration from the historic industries of the area, including lumber, flour, and wool milling. Local sourcing and the utilization of just-in-time delivery offered financial cost savings, a tighter project schedule, and a reduced impact on the environment. With this renovation, the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis became the largest hotel in America designed with locally produced materials.
