Made Nice

Stonehill Taylor teamed up with Eleven Madison Park owners Daniel Humm and Will Guidara to bring life to Made Nice, a fast casual restaurant that emphasizes quality and presentation in an approachable, relaxed atmosphere. An open line of sight is maintained from front to back of the restaurant, where guests can observe the plating and finishing of dishes in a kitchen space lined with white subway tile. Mirroring the ethos of the cuisine and Made Nice’s transparency in preparation, the interiors incorporate honest, raw, and locally sourced materials – concrete floors are combined with American walnut millwork and black granite countertops. A mural by contemporary street artist Shepard Fairey runs the entire length of the restaurant featuring bold, colorful patterns layered with text relating to the Made Nice concept, as well as the surrounding Flatiron area. The mural adds color to the interiors, which are kept minimal with modern wooden seating.
